West Indies all rounder Dwayne Smith announced his retirement from First-Class cricket on Wednesday, after playing for Barbados for 13 years.

Nationenews.com reported Smith saying,”It’s sad to leave but I guess it’s time to give the youngsters a chance to prove themselves.”  Smith was playing in the Professional Cricket League (PCL) inaugurated by the West Indies Cricket Board and had won two matches back to back.

“It was a pleasure to play for my country Barbados in First-Class cricket but all good things come to an end,” said Smith.
