West Indies have done well in the shortest format, but in Tests they have not been able to get back to their past glory. “For men, Chris Gayle is here and Stafanie Taylor will make a huge impact for ladies. The combination is great as we are naturally talented and have great all-rounders. With this mixture, West Indies will be a great team,” averred the talismanic opener of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

“If we look at both forms of the game, we should actually concentrate for long periods of time. It’s not just now, it’s been the case from the time I made my debut under the captaincy of  Brian Lara. We tend to play some short sessions well, and win few sessions and then switch off and tend to lose steam,” added the batsman on what ails Test cricket.
