MOHAMMAD HAFEEZ, captain of Pakistan T20 cricket team, is relieved but pleased after Pakistan’s double success on their recent tour of the West Indies.

The Pakistan T20 squad whipped the hosts 2-0 in back-to-back internationals at the Arnos Vale Recreation Ground in St Vincent, on the heels of a 3-1 win, in the five-match One-Day International series, at both the Providence Stadium in Guyana and Beausejour Stadium in St Lucia. “It was a tough tour,” said Hafeez, after last Sunday’s 11-run win over the West Indies in the second T20 International. “There was no rest (between) the matches but I think the boys came up with some good performances. We are really happy to win the both (T20) games here.”

Pakistan whipped the 2013 ICC T20 champions by two wickets in the first T20 on Saturday, and followed up with a more convincing triumph 24 hours later.

“I think we knew that the West Indies are a good team, in the T20s,” Hafeez said. “And I think the boys really backed themselves and the track here in St Vincent we knew that it’s going (to) take turn. We were blessed with some good spinners in our team so I’m really happy with the performances against the world champions…”
