The Trinidad and Tobago Red Force had slipped to 104 for five just after lunch on the first day of their Professional Cricket League four-day match against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes before Jason Mohammed’s second century of the season spearheaded a recovery.
Mohammed hit an unbeaten 143 at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain Couva yesterday to revive the Red Force innings after lunch as the hosts recovered to post 291 all out which is their third highest first innings score of the season.
T&T scored 340 against Guyana Jaguars last week and before that, Mohammed slammed an even 100 against the Windward Islands Volcanoes at the NCC.
The Leewards closed on 12 without loss but could have been in a stronger position after pushing T&T onto the ropes earlier in the day.
