Rain halted play 5.2 overs after lunch and forced a premature end to the 2nd Day’s play between West Indies & New Zealand in Barbados. WI were firmly in control of proceedings having added 137 runs for the loss of 2 wickets to their overnight 32 without loss.

The home team lost Kraigg Brathwaite for 68 and Chris Gayle for 42 before lunch. When the sky opened Kirk Edwards was on 42 not out and his partner Darren Bravo on 8 not out.

The West Indies were still 124 runs behind New Zealand’s 1st innings total of 293 all out. A wicket each went to Mark Craig and Neil Wagner for the Kiwis.
