Rain will be the biggest worry when Trinidad and Tobago hosts West Indies and South Africa for the final One-day International and the first Test of the current Digicel home series at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain. Both matches were shifted from Jamaica because of violence in Kingston and the chairman of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board International Matches committee, Patrick Rampersad, believes everything will be in place for both teams when they arrive today…

Rampersad said: ’A major concern at this time is the rain but hosting these matches will not be difficult for us.

’It (hosting an international match) is something we are accustomed to and we have the experience to ensure that everything is in place for when the teams arrive,’ he added.

’If there is anywhere that you can get cricket in this (rainy) weather, it is in the Oval…’

’I am very confident that we can host the matches successfully,’ Rampersad added…
