Half centuries from Brendan Nash and Marlon Samuels ensured Jamaica finish off a solid first day after being asked to bat first by Trinidad & Tobago. Nash fished unbeaten on 96 and Samuels was out caught behind for 80 as JA finished the day on 251 for 3. In the second West Indies Cricket Board Regional 4-Day semi-final the first day ended in more of a balance with Combined Campuses and Colleges finishing on 253 for 9. Romel Currency was the major contributor with 95.  Liam Sabastian picked up 4 for 49 bowling for Windwards.
