Five Windward Islands cricketers each received a spanking new cricket bat from the West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) President and CEO, Mr. Dinanath Ramnarine during their match against Trinidad and Tobago at the Queen’s Park Oval.

Andre Fletcher, Liam Sebastien, Lyndon James, Delorn Johnson and Dalton Polius were elated with the new bats which they received from WIPA.

The WIPA President quipped at the brief presentation ceremony, “WIPA continues to, literally, bat for players in West Indies cricket. The presentation is in line with WIPA’s continuing objective of promoting the development of cricket and providing support to our players.”

Andre Fletcher, speaking on behalf of the five Windward Islands players, expressed his sincere thanks to Mr. Ramnarine and WIPA for its kind gesture and the role it has continued to play towards the welfare and benefit of all West Indian players.
