   He has at least 2 or 3 good years left plus that time where he can mentor our bowlers on the team.

   He's dominating the county scene.

   6th in the most wickets column (5th if you count the 2 he just took) on a Sussex team with very good bowling.

   Best average and 2nd best econ in the top 10. He's clearly Sussex spearhead and is a clear reason for them topping the div 2 table.

   44 wickets moves him squarely into 5th on the season.

   Corey Collymore took six wickets as Division Two leaders Sussex delivered a crushing defeat on Leicestershire by an innings and 19 runs inside three days.

   Even with drops off his bowling...

   Any hopes of a sustained revival were destroyed by the introduction of Collymore who removed Du Toit and Claude Henderson in the same over with swinging balls which were edged to Michael Yardy at first slip.

   IMO He should be dominating this level for us to think about a comeback.

   He is dominating. 44 wickets for 6th in the league while on a team with many bowling options is really good. Compare him to England hopefuls like: Tremlett (25), Woakes (29), Amjad Khan (34), Monty Panesar (34) and Andre Adams (38). Only England hopeful above him are Finn (55) and Rashid (49) both on teams that rely much more on them.

   Only Finn and Gameel Hussain have a better strike rate.

   Humm... that is pretty impressive...

   What's the story with him... I was not too closely following WI cricket when he fell out of contention for the WI team...

   I think there are a few younger options who might be keeing him out of contention though.. Russell and the new boy wonder Santokie comes to mind.

   Two things were against him.

   1. He kept getting hurt - so after awhile dog nyam im supper
   2. He had a couple bad series in the wickets columns - BUT as Chrissy would say he had the most drops off his bowling by far.

   lets also not forget he has nothing else to offer if his bowling goes sour, which did happen.......hes a terrible batsman and an equally terrible fielder......unless things have changed over the years....if we had to recall a player i would of liked to see pedro collins come back

    As a bowler i won't require much from him with the bat, that is understandable...

    But as a fieldsman his game needs to be on a different level..

    Most of the young quicks these days have a high standard in the field...

    I wont agree with that till I see some solid stats...

    The WI selectors might not be the best but they have a decent history of sticking with the right people once some talent is shown...

    Pedro can't bat either and despite being a left arm seamer hasn't done much this county season. At some point I think Middlesex may drop him. He's only opening the bowling due to injuries and England duties.

    Looks like the WICB is taking notice.

    Collymore finished with 4-50 -- among them Anguilla-born left-hander Chesney Hughes -- and England left-arm spinner Panesar underlined his increasing confidence with 4-67 to be the chief destroyers. Collymore now has 51 wickets at an average of 18.4 per wicket in 12 matches this summer to his name. His best figures so far are 6-48.
