I don't think it means that they have dropped Sarwan... it just means that he will be paid on a game by game basis.
They are basically saying that they will pay for when he is available and cut their loses and invest in another player.
I agree that Deonarine should be contracted...

Ah. That makes more sense. It's hard to pay a man when he's not played for so long. So Sarwan will most likely go to Sri Lanka if fit.
The Deo thing though still has me confused.

Yeah there is no proper explanation for deonarine...
I can see the fitness thing a lil bit but at some point a trade-off needs to be made on a player's fitness and his production.
he was the 3rd most productive batsman for the WI last contract period. Surely we can get him some help to get his fitness level up....
