Ramnaresh Sarwan says he never thought of quitting playing for the West Indies at the World Cup, even after selectors dropped the middle-order batsman.
this man syill have many years to play
He should have as the administrators treated him with great disrespect.
I say this in light of the conflicting reports about the alledged accusations. Then again the Windies set up always have the view that all Indians are unfit anyway.
He should have as the administrators treated him with great disrespect.
Did he have an option?
Unlike many others he does not have T20 leagues after him and it's been a while since a county team had him in contention
match,
It is about the way he was treated irrespective of his options.
I also recall how unceremoniously Haynes, Greenidge and many other players were treated on their departure from the World stage. The WICB really need to improve its communication and public relations.
Where as I agree completely the WICB need to do a much better job communicating with its players and it is also true former players were treated wrongly. I still dont think its too late for the WICB to make things right with its former greats.
As per Sarwan I was and still is in complete agreement with the WICB. Sarwan and fitness is an old issue that should have been delt with years ago........good for him he seem to have come back with a much better attitude.
Wesley
Wesley you talk as if you know Sarwan's 'attitude' as fact. Do you or you you trust the idiots at the WICB?
You will recall that the WIPA showed them up and it appeared due process was not followed.
You will also recall that Benn apparently was also written to about his fitness and what has changed with him. He still has a poor attitude, he is still a crap fileder and he is an all round ass.
I contest that players of Indian origins are always harassed for fitness issues. Sarwan looks no different that he ever did.
The dropping of Sarwan seem to have had the right effect and he's back better than ever.
Yes Sarwan has been consistent with the bat but LBW what difference do you see in him physically?
