One of the perennial problems that seems to be plaguing West Indian cricket is a lack of fitness amongst its current crop of players. Cricketers in general today seem more prone to injury than in the past (a classic example being Andrew Flintoff whose career basically came to a premature end due to fitness concerns). However this higher rate of injury is most likely related to the higher workload cricketers face today in terms of international cricket.
